Galaxy Crest — a crescent crest rising over a narrow head, a spiral galaxy turning to one side and moons scattered all around. It wears the crest like a crown it never asked for. I respect a reluctant king. Drawn here and laser-engraved into two-tone leather, cut to the outline of the artwork. No design fee on this one, the drawing is already done.

Colors

Nine hides to pick from here, light to dark — Moonglow 1, Dune 2, Saddle 3, Moss 4, Ember 5, Nebula 6, Umber 7, Dusk 8 and Void 9. Pick one and the photos follow it.

Moonglow 1 glows in the dark. Most hides engrave to black; Nebula 6 engraves to gold, and Dusk 8 and Void 9 to silver.

A note on color

The hides are dyed in batches, and two sheets of the same color can burn differently — I have had two sheets of the same stock come out noticeably apart. Expect small variation between runs, and between the photograph on your screen and what arrives.

If you are ordering several that need to match each other exactly, say so and I will cut them all from the same sheet.

What they are made of

Faux leather, also called leatherette, with the hook side of a hook and loop fastener on the back — or an iron-on backing, if you pick it. The laser burns through the colored top layer to the core underneath — black on most hides, gold on Nebula 6 and silver on Dusk 8 and Void 9 — so the artwork is cut into the patch rather than printed on it.

How long it takes

This is a ready-made design, so it moves faster than custom work — usually three to seven days when the color you want is on the shelf. If you are working to a deadline, say so and I will confirm before you count on it.

How they attach

Hook and loop, unless you pick iron-on. The hook side is on the back, so it sticks to any loop panel on a cap, a pack or a vest, and comes off again when you want to move it.

Rather iron it on? Pick Iron-on and it is $12. Press it onto a hat, a jacket, a bag or a shirt — no sewing.

285°F / 140°C for 30 seconds.

On anything that gets washed hard or worked hard, a few stitches around the edge is cheap insurance.

If it does not hold up, I replace it

I stand behind every patch that leaves here. Burned, torn, or met a memorable end — tell me what happened and I will usually send another one out. A valid reason works. So does a good story.

These designs stay mine

Buy as many as you like, put them on anything you own, give them away, wear them anywhere. What you cannot do is resell them, reproduce them, or use them as your own brand without written permission. If you want to license a Void Seekers design for a product of your own, I am genuinely open to it — email me and we will work out terms.
