Most hides engrave to black; Nebula 6 engraves to gold, and Dusk 8 and Void 9 to silver.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eA note on color\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hides are dyed in batches, and two sheets of the same color can burn differently — I have had two sheets of the same stock come out noticeably apart. \u003cstrong\u003eExpect small variation between runs\u003c\/strong\u003e, and between the photograph on your screen and what arrives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are ordering several that need to match each other exactly, say so and I will cut them all from the same sheet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat they are made of\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFaux leather, also called leatherette, with the hook side of a hook and loop fastener on the back — or an iron-on backing, if you pick it.
